''Sauvagella madagascariensis'' is a small species of fish in the Clupeidae family. It is endemic to fresh and brackish water in rivers of eastern Madagascar, ranging from the Mananjary to the Mananara.〔Stiassny, M.L.J. (2002). Revision of Sauvagella Bertin (Clupeidae: Pellonulinae: Ehiravini) with a description of a new species from the freshwaters of Madagascar and diagnosis of Ehiravini. Copeia 2002(1): 67-76〕 This relatively slender fish reaches a length of , and is usually pale yellow with silvery on the flanks and head, though some larger individuals are more strongly coloured with orange or red.〔 ==References==
